Is Endoscopy ,sigmoidoscopy And Enema Safe To Perform Same Day?

I m scheduled for a upper GI endoscopy and a flexible sigmoidoscopy at 1 pm then I m supposed to have a barium enema at 2 pm. I was wondering if it s normal to have all the procedures on the same day and will I be awake for the barium enema if it s so close after my other procedures?

Yes you can have all the procedures on the same day..There is no absolute contraindication for skipping one while performing the other. Feel free to discuss all your queries with the doctor with whom you are scheduled to undergo these tests they can answer your queries better.
