Is Extra Dosage Of Ibuprofen To A Toddler Harmful?

My toddler-15 months about 25lbs- is teething and her dad gave her 1.875 ml of ibuprofen. I was coming home & he was leaving and I thought he hadn t given her any so I gave her a dose- 1.875ml. It was about an hour after the first dose. What should I do?

Detailed answer: Thank you for asking. Though you have given 2 doses of ibuprofen within a short span of time chances of over dosage are less. The reason is our body will not absorb medicine completely. So, do not panic.

Keep observing your child for
01) Vomiting
02) Cry
03) Bloating
04) Diarrhoea
05) Breathing difficulty

If your child develops any of these, please seek emergency help as soon as possible. Otherwise no need to worry.
