Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Eye Pain Followed By Fever In A Child A Cause For Concern?
My eight year old son was hit with a ball to the eye in gym class. He was told to wash it with water. He came home and complained that it hurt. We put ice on it. He is still saying it hurts and now has s fever and is sleeping saying he does not feel good.
I can understand your concern. As your son is having fever, he might be having infection in the eye followed by trauma in the eye. I would advise you to take your son to the physician for the physical examination of the injury and further investigations. He might have to start on antibiotics after that for relief in fever and pain.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish your soon recovers from the trauma soon.
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
