Is Feeding An Infant For Long Duration With One Hour Interval Safe?

Hi..I have two months old baby whose birth weight was 2.61 kgs and current weight is 3.66kgs. And according to one of the doctors I am consulting, he is underweight..adding to this I am giving him feed in every one and half hour for at least 20 mins but sometimes he extend this period to 45 mins and even one hour.i want to know wether it s fine to give him feed for so long and why does he do so and should I give him top feed sometimes.

hi..your doctor is right..you childs weight is below normal.
there is no problem in feedind infant so long and many times..
dont worry..baby will gain weight soon..
no top up food atleast 4 months advisable
