Is Fever With Cold Cheeks And Low Appetite In An Infant A Cause For Concern?
Hi, my 7mo currently has a temp of 35.1, he is in a vest, sleep suit and 2.5tog gro bag, his forehead feels clammy but his cheeks cold, he has recently started solid food and for the last 2 days refused most of his milk, he refused 8oz before bed at 20.00 and woke up crying at 23.00 and took 4oz (formula) do I need to contact 111? Many thanks,
His symptoms are suggestive of an infection. For this reason, I would recommend consulting as soon as possible with the pediatrician for a physical exam and some blood lab tests.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
