General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Body immune system is responsible for the recovery of platelet count once the intensity of the dengue infection decreases. If the count decreases below 10 k,It is better to get hospitalised for monitoring.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH
