Is Fluctuating Temperature Between 35 And 38 While Being On Antibiotics For Pneumonia Serious?

Hi My partner is 63 years .He is being treated for Bacterial Pneumonia with anti - biotics. His temp is fluctuating between 35.4 in the morning and goes up to 38.4 at night. We are using Panadol to control the high tepm. Can you tell me if the lower temp is too low. Thanks Gail

I can understand your concern.
No need to worry for this fluctuations in temperature.
In body, there is normal diurnal variation in temperatures. So no need to worry for fluctuations in temperature. He is not having temperature more than 40 degree ferrenhiet. So he is not having fever.
This is good sign for pneumonia patient. This suggests that antibiotics are working.
His lower temperature is also not too low. If it goes below 34 degree ferrenhiet than it is known as hypothermia. So no need to worry for these fluctuations.
