Is Flying Safe After A Carpel Tunnel Surgery On The Left Hand?
I recently had carpel tunnel surgery on my left hand on 09 Nov. 17 and had no issues, no pain, excessive swelling, nothing. Roughly on 17 Nov I noticed some type of rash on my left arm that was not hives but more of a raised pimple type rash that was similar to a skin infection my children received yrs ago after a visit to an indoor water park. Post op visit was 20 Nov 17 where they removed the sutures and I informed the dr. of the rash however, I told him it was a reaction to the antibiotics I was given from a recent sinus infection. So I took the steroids they gave me for only two days and then quit because it was going away however, I woke up this with a hot sensation on my left arm all the way up to my shoulder. It has a blotchy red rash all over although not the same as before and now my entire left hand is swollen and red and burning. Should I be worried? I did call my dr. on the after hour service and he had no clue. Please help as I m a Flight Attendant for a major airline and am supposed to fly tomorrow.
