Is Flying Safe While Suffering From Laryngitis?

I most likely had a virus May 10th causing laryngitis and left otitis media. I have resulting fluid in left ear and the plan is to have a myringotomy 6/7. I went to urgent care today and dr there told me that the fluid should naturally be absorbed in 6 weeks and not to have the procedure. Your thoughts? Also if I do have it I have plans to fly on 6/17 and want to know if ok to fly?

Hi,

You can fly safely.

You can swallow small sips of water during flight to avoid Eustachian tube blockage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
