Is Flying Safe While Suffering From Liver Cirrhosis And Diabetic Nephropathy?
My father 67 yrs old non alcoholic hepatitis b positive patientgot recently treated for ascites....is having liver cirrhosis and diabetic nephropathy....6.8 litres of water was removed.low albumin 1.9 within two days of discharge again his stomach and leg is swelling. Can he travel by flight for 6 hours in this condition
Those are chronic conditions for which as you must well know he will need continuous medical attention. However regarding flying, none of those conditions is affected by flying, he can make that 6 hour trip without fearing it might worsen his current conditions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olsi Taka,
