Hello My son had tonsillectomy adenoidectomy last year in May. He was fine but after one month in July he started complaining pain in his legs sometimes left n sometime right leg severe pain he wakes up in the night. It s more than one year now but he has pain on n off like u can say pain one whole month n next few months free of pain then again pain for a month it still continue Do u think is it related to tonsillitis or adenoids? Or it s a other problem
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Experiencing frequent leg pains is not related to tonsils or adenoids. Your son might be having calcium deficiency, which could be the cause for frequent leg pain. Growing children need calcium in excess as compared with adults. Kindly supplement him with calcium rich diet by giving milk. Also, you can supplement calcium regularly, which is available in the form of syrup. Gradually, he should be relieved of such symptoms. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
