Is Gastroenteritis, Curable With Clofranil Pills?

iam 62y/o female and been taking several drugs since 1978 after a post partum attack...iam taking rivotril 2mg after lunch, wd aprovel 150mg for hypertension, then after dinner, i take mosegor vita cap, xanor 250mg and anafranil 25mg, however anafranil got out of d market, so my psychiatrist prescribed EXULTEN TAB 50 mg., i took it for 3 weeks, but i suffered from gastroenteritis and blurred vision. and my physical home activities were hampered. I asked a male pharmacist of an equivalent medicine to ANAFRANIL 25 mg, he gave me CLOFRANIL 25 mg.. is this med advisable and safe to take? thank u.this is dolly sarmiento, a senior citizen from d PHIlippines.

Hello
Just to be very specific in replying to your question, anafranil and clofranil are same drugs. You can substitute anafranil with clofranil.

However i must tell you that these drigs cause constipation.

Please discuss this with your doctor as your already have gastroenteritis.
