Is Genetic Testing For Lynch Syndrome Necessary?

I am researching Lynch Syndrome. My father had adenocarcinoma-Urachal, my sister had primary pertinial, and I was found to have endmetrial cancer, state 1A when I had a hysterectomy and have been taking progestrone for a year now. I am 68 years old. I do have an occasional sting around my belly button. My cat scan showed nothing and I am having no other problems. Do you think I should have genetic testing for Lynch?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Lynch the syndrome will be a vague possibility. You can go for a genetic study to confirm and opt for prophylactic surgery if required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
