UTERUS-ON LONGITUDINAL SCAN
1 uterus is ellipsoid shape.
2 anteverted.
3 gravid in size.
4 evidence of well formed gestational sac in the uterus.
5 evidence of fetal echo in it.
6 evidence of fetal heart movement.
7 evidence of fetal movement.
UTERUS-ON TRANSVERSE SCAN
1 uterus is ovovid shape.
2 gravid in size.
3 evidence of well formed gestational sac in the uterus.
4 evidence of fetal echo in it.
5 evidence of fetal heart movement.
6 evidence of fetal movement.
7 both ovaries are visualised and appears normal.
8 C R I is 16.6 mm gest. Age -08 weeks +1 days.
9 fetal heart rate- 172 b/m and fast.
This is my ultrasound report i just got done. And i want to know what does all that mean. Please explain to me as i dont understand this medical terms.

1.Ellipsoid uterus has no role - just description of the shape, anteverted means uterus is anteriorly flexed relation to bladder - normal variation of uterine position, Gravid uterus - when there is presence of pregnancy, Fetal echo - means there is fetes seen with in the gestational sac, Fetal heart movement - there is a movement noted in the fetal pole, and fetes itself also seen moving.
2. Ovoid shape - just shape seen when the probe transverse ( with what your doctor scanned you), Gestational sac seen in the uterus ( a sac with fetes ), CRL crown rump length is 16.6mm which is calculated automatically by the machine to estimate the gestation age corresponding to 8weeks +/- 1 day. Heart rate is normal for age.
3.There is nothing to worry, every thing appears normal. Get a scan between 18 - 22 weeks to check for fetal wellbeing and anomalies.
