Is Getting Front Back Tooth First Normal In A Six Weeks Old Child?
Is it normal for my six week old to grow a front back tooth first? I was reading some websites on the internet saying it could be a sign of a certain syndrome. My baby has no physical features of any syndromes and I was also checked for the baby being down syndrome twice during pregnancy. Is this something I should be worried about?
Thanks for the question. Many a times babies do have neonatal teeth and they are present since birth. This could be mostly the same. If theyare causing trouble while feeding or producing mouth ulcers then can be removed. Congenital syphilis and few other ectodermal syndromes do have abnormal teeth but they would not appear at 6 weeks of age.
