Is Getting Pregnant Safe While Suffering From Vaginal Infection?
Hi! I have unfortunately been diagnosed with a vaginal infection with Proteus although, it goes without saying, I am very careful with this area. My doctor gave me Tergynan (contains Ternidazol 200 mg Neomicin sulphate 100 mg Nistatine 100 000 U Prednisolone), 1/day for 10 days. Me and my husband want a baby and wanted to start trying to get pregnant. My biggest fear is that this infection can affect the pregnancy and the baby. Should I first try to get rid of it (and stop any intercourse altogether meanwhile)? Also, is it normal to have even more leucorrhoea when taking this Tergynan pill? Is it because it s cleaning the area? Thank you! I am very nervous... it s my first try to have a baby.
You should try to conceive after the antibiotics are over as mostly medications or antibiotics should be avoided in pregnancy. Yes, with few medication you can more white discharge.
