Is Giving Clonazepam Advisable To A Child?

My 2 year old who will be 3 in may and weighs 38lbs. ingested a 1mg clonazepam about an hour ago. She seems to be doing okay, and is just now getting sleepy which I suspect would happen. Is there anything I should watch for? Should I take her to the ER?

Hi,
Welcome To Healthcare Magic.

I can understand your concern regarding to your child’s health.

I would like to greet you for your healthiness of your child. According to this, her normal activities, diet habits and sleep would be definitely normal. So, don’t worry about her sleep because sometimes it varies by time to time. So, don’t give clonazepam to her because it is not advisable at this age. And it also interacts to mental and neurological growth.

Hope this information will be helpful to resolve your query and further queries are always welcome. I will like to answer them.

Wish your child good health.
Take Care, Thank You.
