Is Giving Colimex Drops Safe To Treat Colic In Infants?
My daughter is 2 months old and has colicky pain at night. I have tried colicaid drops, gripe water and some home remedies but nothing seems to help. I want to try colimex drops but everyone says its not safe and no one knows why it is not safe. Can you please tell me whether i can use it for my baby.
Yes, it can be given safely in infants. Colimex drops contains dicyclomine and dimethicone as its ingredients and it is commonly prescribed to treat colicky pain in infants. It is generally well tolerated by most infants hence can be given safely.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
