Is Giving Histal Safe For Chronic Cough And Nasal Congestion To Infant?
Good morning, my 10 months old son has a terrible cough, wheezing and stuffy nose..... My mom told me to give him histal. Because that s what she gave us when we were sick, she also gave it to my little brother for his asthma and it works wonders. Can I give it to him?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have symptoms of chronic cough and nasal congestion which is due to upper respiratory tract infection and common flu like allergic reaction. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as you should take cough expectorants. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Take diet rich in vitamin B12. You should take antibiotics such as Levofloxacin or Azithromycin for 5-7 days. Taking histal is safe to use. You should take anti inflammatory medication such as Levocetirizine. Visit Pediatrician once and get it examined. You should get blood test done. You should get an x ray of the chest and pulmonary function tests done as well. You should use throat lozenges and go rinses with warm saline water. You should Chew a Vitamin C pellet. Take decongestants and mucolytic agents. Hope your concern has been resolved.
