I had a calcium level of 14.5 on yearly exam. Then immediate hospitalization with fluids and a medication for 3 day. Calcium level went to 9.5. All this done in one week. Now I m feeling crappy again after one week, thyroid scan showed 6 nodules, largest being 2 cm. I want the gland removed now. What do you think?
Hi thanks for writing to health care magic Raised calcium in your case has not to do much with nodule in thyroid nodule. this can be explained by nodule in the gland near the thyroid gland. the is in parathyroid gland I think you meet your should meet an endocrinologist urgently as raised calcium is one of endorinological emergencies, requiring careful evaluation and treatment, Usual first test to make the diagnosis would be parathormone levels Have a good day bye
