General & Family Physician, Dr. Sirisha's Response
oxycodone is a addictive drug if taken in exact prescribed dose usually is not addictive.but some patients use it more due to the high it gives, and this may lead to severe side effects like unconsciousness, breathing problems including stopped breathing, and death.this may be the reason your dr has cut the dose.it is true that this medicine has to be reduced gradually when it is taken within prescription limits. Usual withdrawal symptoms like insomnia, anxiety, pain, and nausea, can be managed with the help of your doctor.
