Hi Dr. Rynne I was diagnosed with CDiff in August then started losing myhair in early October it has slowed down some. I saw my primary care and gastrointerologist, both of whom never heard of this happening after recovering from Cdiff. I am now going to see a dermotologist note: A friiend of my sisters also had cdiff and had hair loss.Thank you,Mary Ann
Yes, its possible to have a hair loss after any major disease or surgery or trauma. This condition is called telogen effluvium. This generally occurs 2 to 3 months after the stress. So this may explain your hair fall.
