Is Half Pill Of Amlodipine Effective?
I cannot afford my doc copay AND my refills. I am cutting the pills in half to make them last longer. Is it better to cut them in half and take the half daily OR to take a full dose every other day? Amlodipine 5 mg tab and Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg tab.

I appreciate your concern towards the cost of consultation and refills.
However, the maximum beneficial effects of the medicines used to lower BP are seen with the dose prescribed by your doctor. So, if you want to reduce the dose to half of the recommended dose your BP may not be controlled, rather it may shoot up.
You will have to strictly adhere to the dosage prescribed by your doctor.
