Is Having Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Along With Thick Endometrial Lining A Cause For Concern?
i have been bleeding non stop for 3weeks. its has been heavy and i am also passing clots. I went to the dr on the 6th and they did a vaginal ultrasound and said that my lining was too thick. they said normal is 10mm and mine is 42mm. they did a biopsy but i haven t heard anything back yet. i am very concerned this could be cancer. is 42mm unheard of? they also said my uterus was very large
As you said that endometrial lining was too thick and this can be the cause of enlarged uterus and the bleeding because of it is shading off. You may ask your gynecologist for medications to stop bleeding and help reduce this thickness. Also, the biopsy is the only one which can show if it can be cancer or not. Also, other condition can cause this hypertrophy so better don't get worried before the results.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

As biopsy is normal, there is no need to panic. Oral contraceptives may help reduce this thickening. I also recommend checking sex hormone plasma levels, in order to exclude a possible hormonal imbalance.
