Is Headache And Chills A Cause For Concern?

My husband suddenly came down with the chills. He has had a headache most of the day but not a bad one. Should I use only a light blanket to cover him and what else should we consider to reduce the rigors? His temperature appears to be around 100 degrees.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection.

I suggest to give him anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the fever.

You can give him Acetaminophen.

I also suggest to give him liquids and rest.

I recommend eating a healthy diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
