Is Headache And Sore Bruise After An Injury A Matter Of Concern?
Hi, I fell from about a meter in the air and landed on my shoulder and side of my head and heard a cracking sound. Had a slight headache afterwards but nothing major went away 20 min later. The spot on had is sore to touch and now 3 days later I have a bad headache on the side I hit. Should I be concerned
Your symptoms are quite common after a head trauma and they do not indicate any serious medical disorder . There is nothing to worry for the moment. I would just recommend having some rest and avoiding any possible repeated trauma in the next days. If your headache worsens instead of improving, or you experience other symptoms like confusion, nausea, vomiting, gait disturbances, etc.. I recommend going to the ER for a physical exam and a brain CT scan to exclude delayed intracranial bleeding. Hope you will find this answer helpful! Best wishes, Dr. Aida
