Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, 9 years ago I lost my hearing in my right ear. I had a plugged right ear the night before but assumed getting a cold. MY right ear felt congested but I went to bed and didn t think much of it. When I woke I had a ringing noise in ear and couldn t hear a thing out of it. I was super dizzy and moving head or laying on side made it worse. After 9 years I have gotten use to a milder form of dizziness but am deaf in right ear. I went to be tested and was told right ear was dead and left ear was 100% Reason? Told, nerve was damaged somehow. I started suffering from proteinuria about 2007 and it has progressed to stage 5 renal failure. Am prepping for dialysis and kidney transplant.. Question is, is hearing loss part of kidney issue or separate? Is it Meniere disease? sp?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, hearing loss and kidney disease are two different conditions and it needs to be taken care separately they are not related with each other hope this information helps.
