Welcome at HCM.. I have gone through your query and being your physcian i completely understand your health concerns. what is ur age? any other associated problem? like diabetes or hypertension? any history of TB in past or exposure to TB? are u having fever? any other lymph node swelling in ur body?is swelling on both sides of neck or not? any history of bleeding per rectally? any history of thallessemia in ur family? First of all cause for low HB should be looked for. then severity is assessed. in my opinion 8 hb is low for you, you need intervention. you need to be examined by your attending physcian so that exact cause can be looked for. transfusion is temporary thing , actual cause must be sorted out. iron pills are not going to help until and unless cause can be find out.
meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain get well soon Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask Regards Dr Saad Sultan
