Is Hemoglobin Level Of 11 G/dL A Cause For Concern?
Why would my hemoglobin be 9 and now a week later it is 11 but has been since March different have said to my family practitioner that they believed I was anemic - the first was an endrochronologist and the other was a arthritis doctor why are 2 concerned and he doesn t seem to be - I have some relatives who have had or do have leukemia and it worries me! Thank you
Welcome to HCM I have read and understood your query I hope this will help you 11 mg /dl is not a bad Hb level.you should not worry about it.Yet take an iron supplement for two months at least and eat more green.Dont worry about leukemia,as in this there is increase number of immature and abnormal white blood cells and decrease number of normal blood cells including red blood cells, and platelets count decreases.Though get your Complete blood count every three months. I hope this was helpful You can get back to me with another query anytime Regards Dr Faeza Sherdil
