Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Yes
hepatitis B is contagious. However Hepatitis B is not spread through
sneezing, coughing, hugging, or
breastfeeding. Hepatitis B usually spreads through blood, semen, or other body fluids from a person infected with the Hepatitis B virus to other person who is not infected. The virus is very infectious and is transmitted easily through breaks in the skin or mucus membranes (nose, mouth, eyes and other soft tissues).
You should be very careful & avoid the following things to prevent hepatitis B to spread to your family.
■ Avoid Sexual contact without protection
■ Avoid Direct contact of anyone to your blood, even in tiny amounts. Direct contact with open sores of you should be avoided.
■ Avoid Sharing personal items, such as toothbrushes, razors, syringes, or
glucose monitors that have even microscopic amounts of blood on them
