i am 28 years old male, 164 cms height and 75.2 kg weight?i'v been having gassy stomach for a long time(1 year) n also have fattty liver problem with high SGOT level at 67 while normal range mentioned is 5-40 and SGPT is 139 while normal is 5- 40. However i'v checkd for hepatitis and it is negative. The doctor has me to take Heptral 400 tablet thrice daily for a month before the next checkup and also lesuride OD 75tablet for the gas. I would like to know if i am consuming the right medicine? And also what are the ways to reduce the high sgot and sgpt levels.thank you
Yes your taking correct dose of heptral. Used for Treatment of adults with intrahepatic cholestasis in precirrhotic and cirrhotic states, and intrahepatic cholestasis in pregnancy. 10-25 mg/kg/day orally. Usual Starting Dose: 800 mg/day. Total Daily Dose: Not to exceed 1600 mg. Your not mentioned about Alcoholic history Smoking history Sedentary life style Your diabetic?? Or hypertensive?? As per history as you told that your suffering from NASH (non alcoholic steato hepatitis).
Your obese also, chances of suffering from metabolic syndrome. What ever drug your taking continue.... Please take b12and folic acid along with heptral. Any query consult your physician. Regular exercise Low fat diet Quit smoking and alcohol Regular blood check up is useful to reduce high liver enzymes.
