Is High Blood Pressure Causing Headache.asthma And Weakness?
I m taking combizar 50mg daily to combat high blood pressure for more than 6 months already. I experience difficulty in breathing, like asthma, weakness, and occasional headache. I understand that these are side effects of the drug. But to me these are also signals of high bp. Is there anway I can combat these side effects? Thanks...
Hi welcome to HCM. I understand your query and concern. Yes certainly high blood pressure can be a serious concern in your case. These symptoms which you mentioned can be a harbinger in your case.I advise you to have a baseline EKG and a 2 dimensional echocardiography to assess the cardiac functional reserve and effects of long term hypertension on your heart.Combizar can help in accurate blood pressure control.Monitor your blood pressure twice daily.Maintain your blood pressure below 130/80 mm of hg.Restrict the intake of salt to less than 6 mg/day.Side effects can be minimised if an alternative drug can be prescribed by your cardiologist.Post your further queries,if any. Thank you.
