Is High Pulse Rate A Sign Of Danger While On Rivaroxaban Therapy To Cure Blood Clots In Lungs?

Hi, my husband is 33 years old male. He was diagnosed with PE (blood clots in his lungs) twice. He is on the therapy at the moment, (Rivaroxaban). We have small machine (oxymeter) which I use regularly to check his oxygen saturation. (which is normally in range of 96-97%). But his pulse is constantly high, even when his laying down is in the range of 82-92bmp. Im very worried about that, should be concerned that his heart is under to much pressure? Any additional treatment we should require?
Thank you.

Hi thanks for your question.
Your husband is having pulmonary embolism and now put on Ravaroxaban which is an anticoagulant drug. Though fast heart rate is side effect of Ravaroxaban but heart of 82 to 92per minutes is not so much high for which you should be worried. Relax, there is nothing to worry. In case he develops some other problems consult the treating physician.
Hope this answers your question
