Is Hot Red Face Indicative Of Sinus Inflammation?
hello, I have a hot red face no fever, just face hot, can this be sinus inflammation? I was previously treated for sinus inflammation with Augmentin three rounds but now I have stomach bloating as a secondary issue and I feel the inflammation is back. I am on Flagyl for the secondary issue with my stomach, I am concerned about the face flushing as well. will Flagyl help with the sinus inflammation? I am miserable. thank you for your help. ohio

Hot face alone does not occur mostly in sinus infections.
If you have had 3 rounds of augmentin then that must be enough for the sinus infection.
Flagyl ie metronidazole ;will not help in sinusitis. But might cause such flushing (red hot face) of face if you take alcohol and metronidazole, both.
You should avoid it.
Take antihistaminic and decongestants . that will help in sinus infection.
