Is Hydroxyurea Causing Unexplained Back Pain With Increase In WBC Count?
My husband has been having unexplained back pain, bleeding at base of toes on one foot, pelvic and groin pain and inability to walk without pain. He has been taking hydroxyurea for approx. a year. His wcb count is rising (26,200). Could these SMS be a sign of too much hydroxyurea?
Hydroxyurea is known for causing low WBC count, and not high. It is given for leukemia and blast crisis. It is not clear from your driscription why he was taking it. Please provide details.
