Is Incontinence A Side Effect Of Metoprolol?
A dear friend started metaprolol apx. 2 weeks ago.his wife is very concerned as he has been urinating himself for the past 3 nights.he is apx.60 year old white male with history of moderate to heavy alcohol consumption.he recently lost a son tragically and has been eating very little for apx. 2 months,mostly ensure and Gatorade(depression). Could it be the metaprolol causing his bladder incontinence.

* As per my clinical experience, the metoprolol has rare side effect of dark urination and incontinence of urine in some of the cases.
Kindly discuss the same with his treating physician for further guidelines as prostate enlargement is a major concern with this.
