Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Naresh
Typically range of platelet volumes is 9.7–12.8 fL (femtolitre), equivalent to spheres 2.65 to 2.9 µm in diameter.
Normal Range is 7.5-11.5 fL
The higher the MPV the larger the platelet size and the lower the MPV the smaller the platelets. High MPV can cause a person to be at a higher risk for strokes and heart attacks.
Thanks
