Is Increased Libido Normal While On Medication For ADHD?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
It is not uncommon for stimulant medications used to treat ADHD, such as Concerta, to have side effects that can include increased libido or sexual side effects. These side effects can be distressing, but you must talk to your doctor about any concerns you have with your medication.
Your doctor may be able to adjust your dosage or switch to a different medication that may have fewer side effects for you. Additionally, you may want to consider adding therapy to help you manage these symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
