Is Increasing PSA Level While On Tamsulosin A Cause For Concern?
im taking tamsulosin in 2013 my psa was2.1 in2014 itwas 2.5 in july 2015 it was 3 my doctor made no comment on this. i am 68 years old in the past it has always been aroun 2 any sugestions should i be conscerned? ive been taking this drug for 2 months because of a week stream ido pretty throughthe day and evenig but when i first get up in in the morning i still have trouble with a weak steam or difficulty going. is their any suggestions on how i mightg lower this psa level. this increase in the last couple of years has me concerned. thanks for your help. l redmon
Your PSA level of 3 is within normal range (under 4 is acceptable). These types of changes are related to inflammatory processes or infection of the prostate gland. If you do not feel any other symptom and your urine test was clear, your current treatment is okay. Just keep regular follow up with urologist.
