Is Intake Of Furosemide 25mg Once Per Week Enough For Treating Edema?
I have edema caused by varicose veins. Heart, liver and kidneys functioning well. All have recently been checked along with lab results. Dr. has ordered me to take furosemide 25mg tablets once per week. Is this really enough to help with edema? When I do take the pill my urination increases almost immediately and it appears that the edema is reduced. Can that one little pill last for the full week? Please advise. Thank you.
Furosemide 25 mg helps you to flush water out of your system so oedema is reduced. I don't think one per week can help you. I think you should take it every day of 25 mg to help you.
Also, you should talk to an angiologist surgeon to find a solution for the various veins that are causing it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
