Is Intake Of Coffee Or Energy Drinks Safe While Being On Lisinopril?
I take 10 MG of lisinopril daily. I want to know if I can drink coffee or energy drinks while I am on this medication. If so, when should I take lisinopril? How much time apart, before or after consuming caffeine? I also take 0.100 MG of levothyroxine upon waking.
Consuption of coffee or energy drinks doesn't interact with Lisinopril so there is no special recommendation as to when to take it in relation to Lisinopril. Coffee and energy drinks can increase heart rate and blood pressure though, so since Lisinopril is taken for blood pressure and thyroid hormone influences heart rate, you shouldn't take great amounts of coffeine and when evaluating blood pressure and heart rate figures, keep in mind that consumption of those drinks in the preceding 60 minutes could influence the readings.
I hope to have been of help.
