Is Intake Of Medication Necessary For Persistent Elevation In Sugar Levels?
Sir, my sugar level is 161 now but last week when I checked by lab then sugar level is 289. I have never taken medicine. Sir last one year in April 2015 my level is 349 but walk and diet controlled level not more 160. So please tell may I start medicine. Doctor advise me for gliformin co 500
Yes, your sugar does seem to be on the higher side more often than one would like. I would advise you to start with oral diabetic medications, preferably with Metformin. You can also get your HbA1c done to know your average blood sugar levels for the past 2-3 months.
Kindly consult with your diabetologist and also dietitian to chalk out a Ppan for your blood sugar management.
