Is Interrupted Sleep Instigated By Stress And Difficulty In Going Back To Sleep Incurable?
This question is regarding my Wife s Sleeping disorder. For some time now, She finds it difficult to Sleep even when tired or not. And if by chance, she goes into sleep, she tends to wake up again in few minutes when ever she hears a noise.Sleeping back again becomes very difficult. Sought for medical attention several times but improvement is not all that good. She had gone through a severe stress moment before when we had some prolonged marriage challenges There is no tension or Worry in her mind as of now since we have a good marriage as of now. Please suggest some medication or a Specialist for this problem because her sleeping habit is becoming of a worry. Can I ask whether its a long lasting incurable situation be cause am afraid.
Your wife is suffering from sleep disturbances disorder. Most common cause of this is stress and anxiety. So better to consult a psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions.
Try to identify the stressor in her life and start working on its solution.
She will also need anxiolytic drugs like Propranolol or Flunarizine combination too. Don't worry, she will be alright. It is curable.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
