Is Irregular Menstruation A Sign Of Perimenopause?
I ve been having irregular periods for about a year now. My gyno said I am in peri menopause , recently I have been having unprotected sex... He does pull out, but I know that is not safe.As of October 16... My last period.. I have not bled at all. I have taken a pregnancy test in mid November which came out negative. Is it normal to not get a period at all in this stage of menopause? I thought menopause lasted years? And I m still wondering if I should take another pregnancy test.... Even though I dont feel pregnant. My mother had her menopause around this age also
hello, thank you for your query, this is a very common complaint during a perimenopausal age..these irregularity,no bleeding ,excessive bleeding etc are common at this stage. but you should not do an unprotected sex..use barrier method. in case of any unprotected sex must do a pregnancy test. and consult your gynaecologist about this matter. hope this is helpful. regards
