Is It A Matter Of Concern If Having BP At 155/94 And Having Lightheadedness And Sleeplessness?

Hello, I have been feeling a bit light headed for the past two day and decided to take my BP. It was 155/94. I m 48 years and 237Ib. I ve been under a lot of stress this few weeks and have been having trouble getting enough sleep. Should I be concerned?

Hi and welcome to HCM

Your Blood pressure in on higher side and also you are overweight.

The symptoms lightheadedness which you are having may be due to high BP. You have to consult a local physician and he may advice you some tests.

Based on lab reports he will put some medications. At your age i would have considered you for blood sugar tests (FBS and PPBS), an ECG, Fasting lipid profile and a renal function test. Its better to put on anti platelet medications like aspirin, ask your doctor for this.

Also cut down salt in your diet (
