Is It Advisable To Consume Alcohol During Medication For High Blood Sugar?
I just recently started taking Metformin due to my glucose levels being a little high but I am not diabetic. I live a healthy lifestyle and am working on losing weight. I like to have alcoholic beverages on occasion but I am worried about drinking while taking Metformin. Could you please give me some information on this?d
Dear madam/sir i can understand your concern. the medication what you are using is a very good medication but it will give you slight gastritis. Usually taking sugar lowering drugs along with alcohol will cause low sugars which are difficult to recover. i suggest you not to take medication along with alcohol Regards Dr vamsi Krishna Diabetologist
