Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My father had a quintuple heart bypass last Wednesday. He has been at home (with us) since Monday. He has been sleeping upright since the op but today woke up and had wriggled down the bed and was nearly lying flat. Is it ok for him to sleep flat? He say he is more comfortable this way. Also he keeps going hot and cold but has no temperature and his bold pressure and pulse is fine. Thanks
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern for your father, if there is no post surgical complication and he is doing well then he have position in which is more comfortable and does not have any difficulty, but if this cause any breathing problem then he should avoid this position, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
