Is It Advisable To Take Duphaston During Pregnancy?

i was recommended to take Duphaston for 10 day daily 2 tablets. i had scanning dr told me that the ovulation has taken place so to protect the pregnancy she advised me to take the tablet. but i have heard that by taking Duphaston tablet will get my period. please advise on the same

Hi,welcome to healthcare magic forum.I understand your query.Duphaston(dydrogesteron) is a type of progesterone which will helps in maintaining pregnancy it conception occurs.So in your case it will help in this way first if conception does not occur then it will cause endometrial shedding and menstruation.So no need to worry much better follow the instructions of your doctor and be in regular consult with her.
