Is It Alright To Withdraw Phentermine After 7 Days?
Hi... I started taking phentermine a week ago for weight loss. Today was the first day that I worked out since taking this drug. I was only on the treadmill for about three to five minutes and my heart rate increased and I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. I'm not sure if I was panicking but it was a very scary episode. Can I stop taking this drug at this point since I have only taken it for 7days? I am also currently taking lamictal due to a seizure I suffered. Please advise and I also plan on contacting my PCP who started me on this drug.
Phentermine helps in releasing norepinephrine for reducing hunger. It also dont have any interaction with Lamictal. But it causes some adverse effects like nervousness, restlessness, tachycardia, agitation, arrhythmia. This is what you experienced while on treadmill. You can stop it at this point but i suggest you to consult your treating doctor before taking any decision.
Do consider a positive feedback as a credit to my work. Let me know if you have any further questions.
