Is It Best To Quit Estrogen Therapy Due To Cardiac Problems?

I am a 63 year old female who has been taking estrogen since my complete hysterectomy 14 years ago due to severe hot flashes. Also have HTN that is well controlled. I am borderline osteoporotic and my physician has been reluctant to take me off of estrogen. We have a strong family hx of cardiovascular problems ( both grandmothers had cerebral hemorrhages or sudden cardiac death (both collapsed while walking.) Had 2 aunts that had strokes. My father just passed on with 3 blood clots. Have a brother who had an MI @ age 62. Just found out that other brother has had a brainstem CVA. Is a best to go off to quit the estrogen therapy?
